Human Resources Assistant
The employee works at a computer (keyboarding and mouse to read and reply to e-mail, prepare reports, review information, etc.) for most of the workday. The work is interspersed with non-computer-based activity, such as reading, thinking, proof-reading, photocopying, filing. The employee has some control over the workload and can get up, stretch, and walk on a regular basis. • Demonstrated ability to manage HR core processes such as talent management, succession planning, and employee relations. • Degree or diploma in business administration, human resources management, or a related field required with a minimum CHRP certification. The employee works at a desk and/or a computer workstation with a keyboard and a mouse for the majority of the workday.
Hopewell started in 1983 by John and Joanne Oosterhuis as a way of helping families in their community; families who needed additional support for their child living with a disability. The Oosterhuis family provided this help by purchasing a large farmhouse in Ariss, ON and becoming foster parents for four children to start. As word got out about the individualized care that the Oosterhuis family provided, referrals continued to increase, and Hopewell started its evolution into the organization it is today.

Hopewell is home to 14 children who have come to us through government placements with stories of hardship and pain.
